THE ROLE OF GENE

Mrs. Matheson, an elegant, caring woman who acts as a mother figure to the heroines. Gene Tierney’s last official film role. She accepted for the pleasure of reuniting with Jean Negulesco, who had directed her in Dragonwyck. She said it was a “nice way to say goodbye”.
